Theatrikids Summer Workshops & Performance Classes

Honk! Jr. (Ages 5-15)

July 12th - 28th
12-3 Pm Performances on July 29 & 30 @ 4pm & 31 @ 2pm.

Honk! is the show that beat The Lion King out of the Olivier award (The British equivalent to the Tony Award)! Honk! Junior is a contemporary retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's classic story."The Ugly Duckling" and features a Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat like score that kids everywhere will enjoy.

Workshop Costs

*Week long Workshops: $100

*Performance Classes $225

*Sibling rate: One at full price and the next child at $80 for the one week workshop and $200 for the performance classes (only if both siblings are registered for the same class)

*Also, if a parent registers for three or more classes total, they will receive 10% off the total registration.

	Summer 2010 Workshops
Fables & Fairy Tales (ages 5-8) July 19th - 23rd, 8:30 - 11:30 am -- Taking well known classics and dramatizing them is the first step for most children in coming to know and love the theatre. This class will teach them about creating character and working as a team on a project.		Short Shakespeare (ages 9-13) July 19th - 23rd 3:30-6:30pm -- An intro to the Bard, who he was iambic pentameter, wy it's important to us today and scene work from a mix of different Shakespearean plays which the students would perform on Friday afternoon. come discover that Shakespeare can be fun & educational!!
Intro to Improv (ages 9-13), July 26th-30th 8:30-11:30am--Is your son or daughter the next Wayne Brady? Have them discover the wonderment of improvisation, from basics and fun games, to character exploration and development. Even if our child never steps on the stage, these invaluable tools will help them think creatively and be quick on their feet!		Who's Line is it Anyway! (ages 9-13) August 2nd-6th 8:30-11:30am--This fund and funny show uses mainly improve games to create an entire show. Come work as a team and laugh your socks off!
Advanced Improv (ages13-17) August 2nd-6th 12-3pm -- Moving beyond short form games & utilizing long form improv "skits" made from audience suggestions.
